Espíritos Familiares Exhibition

It's such a great pleasure to have my first solo exhibition "Espíritos Familiares" happen at the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick in Cleveland, Ohio (US). I recommend not to miss if you're in the area. If it's not the case, you can see the pieces here in the portfolio section or at my Instagram. I'll be posting them all until the end of this month - which also marks the end of the exhibition.

All the artwork being exhibited is available for purchase. A beautiful t-shirt with exclusive art is also available at the Museum's store.

Press release from the museum's website:

"The Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick is excited to announce a new art exhibit.  The esteemed artist is Luciana Lupe Vasconcelos, an occult artist that resides in Teresópolis, Brazil.  In 2021, Vasconcelos paired with the late, Darcillio Lima at the Buckland Museum for an exhibit called “Magia Protetora”.  This exhibit was masterfully curated by the Stephen Romano Gallery, NYC.  Vasconscelos now sets off on her own with her beautifully haunting “Espiritos Familiares”.  Known for her unique creative process, Luciana enters a trance state to channel spiritual energies, resulting in mesmerizing and otherworldly artworks.

“Espiritos Familiares” is immersed in occult symbolism.  Each and every piece is captivating and invites the viewer in to explore the labyrinth of her unconscious.   Part scenes of Witchcraft by Salvator Rosa, and part sci-fi book covers of the late 1960’s, these images are soaked in a dark femme energy, and when the viewer spends enough time with these talismanic pieces, a certain type of illumination forms, a cosmic gnosis.

Join us at the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick to experience this stunning exhibit and delve into the mystical artistry of Luciana Lupe Vasconcelos. The exhibit, which contains over eighty pieces of artwork will be on display until January 2026.  There will be a very limited number of posters to purchase, which features one of Vasconcelos’ pieces, Medusa, as well as t-shirts that also feature her artwork. These items will be available on-line or in the museum.

This exhibit is co-curated by Luciana Lupe Vasconcelos and Toni Rotonda, for the exhibit at The Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick.   A special “Thank you” to the ancestors, our visitors, and to Stephen Romano for the introduction to her work."
